Commemorative Celebration on the Occasion of the 450th Anniversary of the Hyōhō Taisha-ryū– Grand Votive Martial Arts Demonstration at the National Treasure Aoi Aso Shrine
In 2021, Hyōhō Taisha-ryū celebrated the remarkable 450th anniversary of its founding. We would like to take this opportunity to express our sincere gratitude to the local community of Hitoyoshi Kuma and to everyone involved in kobudō for their unceasing support.
Although preparations to hold the Anniversary Celebrations had been underway for some time, the event had to be postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. This year, however, we are delighted to finally be able to hold the long-awaited “Hyōhō Taisha-ryū 450th Anniversary Celebrations,” including a votive kobudō demonstration by no less that seventeen traditional schools including the Hyōhō Taisha-ryū at the Aoi Aso Shrine – a national treasure situated in Hitoyoshi city.
